CSR Initiative to
Project Jagar
Project Jagar is an effort to familiarize the students (children from the school, Purkal Yoth Development Society) with the rich culture and heritage of the state- Uttrakhand. The experience culminated in a field visit to Tehri Garhwal and a grand finale on January 31st, where students presented their work in an exhibition and cultural program attended by Shri Upendra Dutt Tripathi Ji, President of Orbis.

Class VII, students explored folk instruments, storytelling, and regional variations of Jagar. They created original performances inspired by local birds, conducted village surveys, and showcased their learning through an internal exhibition of art, research, and handmade dhol and damau models.


Impact:
The Jagar project deeply engaged students in exploring Uttarakhand’s heritage through music, dance, storytelling, art, and technology. It fostered cultural pride, enhanced research and communication skills, and creatively connected tradition with innovation. This project connected children to their roots.
