Mr. Gupta brings over four decades of extensive experience spanning management consulting, manufacturing, banking, and financial services across India and Australia. During his professional tenure in Melbourne, he identified a significant gap in custody services beyond the institutional space – an insight that laid the foundation for the creation of Orbis. He is also the author of ‘Guide to Project Financing’, a widely acclaimed reference book that became a bestseller in its year of publication and remains a respected resource in the field.

Mr. Agarwal brings over two decades of rich and diverse experience in the banking, custody, and capital markets industry. He has developed deep domain expertise and a strong understanding of specialized Capital Market segments. Prior to joining Orbis, he served as Business Head at ICICI Bank, where he was responsible for driving business and product development, enhancing client satisfaction, and delivering improved financial outcomes. His role involved close engagement with a wide range of clients, including foreign and domestic institutional investors, broker-dealers, and other key stakeholders.

Dr. Kelkar holds a B.S. degree from University of Pune, M.S. degree from University of Minnesota and PhD from Berkeley. He has held several key positions in the past, including former Chairman – Finance Commission (2008- 09), Union Finance Secretary to the Government of India (1998 – 99), Executive Director at IMF (1999-2002), and Chairman Tariff Commission (1997-98), amongst others. In 2010, he was appointed as the Chairman of Forum of Federations, based in Canada. Until recently, he served as the Non – Executive Chairman at NSE and held Directorships at a host of other private companies. Having retired from active business in the last few years, he is now settled in Pune.

Upendra comes with over 16 years of rich and blended experience in banking, capital markets, human resource management & strategy. He has worked and supported multiple departments in the Company and was instrumental in identifying new products, technology trends, new geographies, fundraising and regulatory changes in the industry. He has a well-established network of private equity investors, legal and tax consultants, along with regulatory and government bodies. Prior to joining Orbis, he worked with ICICI Bank as a Group Lead. He is an Engineering Graduate and a candidate of ICICI Bank Business Leadership Program – MBA Finance.

Tejash is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with more than 12 years of Big4 experience in advising and assisting financial services industry participants including AIFs, offshore funds, PMS, MFs, banks and NBFCs. He looks after the Legal, Products and Compliances division of Orbis Group and oversees the trustee compliances. He featured amongst the best 40 under ‘40 alternative investment professionals in India’ – a list compiled by the Indian Association of Alternative Investment Funds (in the year 2020). He has also been actively involved with industry bodies such as IVCA (AIPAC committee reports) and AIWMI in making representations before the Central Board of Direct Taxes (Ministry of Finance and the Securities Exchange Board of India) on various matters.
