Orbis has partnered with Keshav Shrushti to install solar powered water pumping systems with associated pipelines in Umbarpada village in Parli Kendra, Maharashtra to provide a reliable, sustainable irrigation water supply for 14 local farmers. By replacing conventional pumping with solar energy, the project aims to improve access to water for 14 farmers, support irrigation of their agricultural land and reduce dependence on diesel or grid electricity. Ultimately, the project seeks to enhance agricultural productivity, stop migration and promote clean energy use in the community.
